Concreters for the northern Gold Coast.

First driveways and paths for new builds in Coomera, Pimpama and Ormeau, and replacements and pool surrounds on established blocks from Helensvale to Hope Island.

Light exposed aggregate driveway to a newly built home
Short answer

Yes, we cover the whole northern Gold Coast. In the new estates it's mostly first driveways, side paths and alfresco slabs, priced to your covenant. On established blocks it's driveway replacements, pool surrounds and stairs.

New builds: the first driveway

Many homes in Coomera, Pimpama, Ormeau and Willow Vale are handed over with a bare front yard, or with just the council crossover poured. That's the right time to do the driveway, side paths and alfresco in one booking, with one set of levels.

  1. Check your covenantMost estates set the front finish and colour, and many give you a deadline after handover. Send us that page.
  2. Plan the levelsBuilders leave the site at rough levels. We set the falls so water runs away from the slab and towards the stormwater pits.
  3. Do it in one pour where possibleDriveway, side paths and alfresco in the same finish look consistent, and one mobilisation costs less than three.
  4. Leave room for the tradesFencing, landscaping and pool builders need access. We'll sequence around them.

Established blocks: replace and upgrade

Helensvale, Oxenford, Pacific Pines and Arundel have plenty of 1990s and 2000s homes with cracked or tired plain driveways. Most owners replace them with exposed aggregate. Older driveways are broken out, the base is re-compacted and the new slab is set to the garage and footpath levels. Where the old concrete is sound, resealing can be the cheaper fix.

Canal and waterfront homes

Hope Island, Paradise Point, Hollywell and Runaway Bay mean pool surrounds, honed coping and floating steps to the water. It's the same work we do every week in Bundall and Surfers Paradise. See the finish guide for honed, covercrete and exposed aggregate side by side.

Council: all of these suburbs are in the City of Gold Coast. A new or widened crossover needs council approval. Our crossover guide explains how it works.

Northern Gold Coast FAQ

Common questions.

Can you pour my driveway straight after handover?
Yes. Many Coomera, Pimpama and Ormeau homes are handed over with no driveway, or with the crossover only. Send your site plan and estate covenant and we'll quote the driveway, side paths and alfresco together.
What finish do the estates allow?
It depends on the estate. Many covenants rule out plain grey concrete at the front and ask for exposed aggregate or a coloured finish in an approved tone. Check the design guidelines in your contract and we'll match them.
Do you do pool surrounds at Hope Island and Paradise Point?
Yes. Canal-front pool surrounds, honed coping and floating steps are a big part of our work, and the same crew covers Hope Island, Paradise Point, Runaway Bay and Coombabah.
